Jesus Christ's life, death, and resurrection are the foundation of our faith and the focus of our worship. God's Word and the Sacraments of Holy Baptism and Holy Communion are the means, or tools, that God uses to give us his forgiveness and blessing found in Jesus. Our worship emphasizes Jesus and uses the tools he gives us to receive his forgiveness and blessing.
We follow the historic pattern of Christian worship that the church has used for centuries. The order of service includes confessing our sins together, receiving God's forgiveness together, confessing the Bible's truths together, singing the faith in ancient and modern hymns.
Our approach is solemn, since God really comes to visit us through his Word! Yet we are relaxed, since God's Word is for real people in the real world. Since God’s Word is for real people in a real world, it applies to all of our real-world situations, issues, and problems. God’s Word gives us real joy and peace that surpasses all of our real-world situations, issues, and problems.
