Hi there! Thanks for visiting our website. My name is Dan Spaude and I have the privilege of serving as the pastor at St. John's right here in Wetaskiwin. I was born and grew up in Antigo, Wisconsin, in the United States. In 2019, I graduated from Martin Luther College in New Ulm, Minnesota, with a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Languages. From there, I went to Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in Mequon, Wisconsin, where I graduated with a Master's of Divinity in May of 2023. In that same month, I received the call to serve here at St. John's.

I am married to my wonderful wife, Megan. Together, we've enjoyed exploring the area, making new connections, and taking in the beautiful sights here in Alberta!

I love spending time with people. Every person has a story, and I'd love to hear what yours is. I'd also love to share Jesus' story with you and how you fit into it.
